I’ve been attending classes on a Wednesday evening since September last year, and can honestly say it’s been a real tonic.
After a break from yoga, I was keen to join a local class that wasn’t going to be overwhelming but welcoming; this class with Polly is certainly both! I turn up on a Wednesday evening feeling tired after a busy day of work but leave with my mind calmed, my body energised yet relaxed and my spirits lifted!
Polly is an excellent teacher, who brings her passion for and knowledge of yoga to all those that attend her classes along with fun, kindness and a welcoming smile.

Polly’s yoga class is great. She is so experienced and you really feel that you are learning from someone with fantastic knowledge. The classes are varied and interesting and Polly is good at adapting the moves to suit individuals. As someone with arthritis and some mobility issues, this is wonderful and I never feel awkward or embarrassed. She is also able to give more challenging moves to those who are able. After attending for sometime now, I can say that my flexibility has improved but more than that the classes give me a feeling of well being and positivity. Everyone is encouraged to progress and an alternative pose is offered should you find one demanding. The focus is on a calm, holistic approach which enables you to feel emotionally and physically refreshed and I have found that the breathing techniques aid a good night's sleep! I am still very much a novice but have found that my posture is much improved, as is my flexibility. Most of all, I enjoy attending class and I like and respect Polly as a teacher. Chris - June '23
I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the Restorative Yoga class. Loved that the poses were explained, demonstrated and that Polly circulates the class "tweaking" to make sure we are all comfortable. Great class, can't wait for the next one. Namaste. Alison B - Dec '22
I find Polly's classes very enjoyable. It is rare to find an instructor with such in-depth knowledge of her subject and to be able to teach it with so much patience and clarity. Polly spends time with everybody being sure to adapt postures and flows to suit each individual in the class. She is careful to advise on adjustments to our position or postures without making anybody feel inadequate in any way. The classes are planned thoughtfully each week to cover everybody's ability. Within each class there are always some "restorative" poses included to balance out any strenuous flows we may have been doing. I practice Qi gong regularly and have found, since attending Polly's classes, I am able to correct and improve some bad habits I have developed in my knee and ankle movements by following her advice. I find the Restorative Yoga classes very useful in dealing with stress and regularly use some of the techniques that Polly has taught me. Restorative Saturday yoga is the perfect way to unwind! As for the yoga as a whole, I have found that (as a sufferer of asthma) I have no longer needed to use my inhaler.

Polly leads her yoga classes with patience, experience and a sense of humour; providing a relaxed and enjoyable environment in which to practice - yoga with Polly has become an essential part of my often hectic work/family life providing calm and balance, positively affecting both my physical and mental well being. Since taking up yoga at the suggestion of my GP about 2 years ago, due to osteoarthritis, I have noticed a marked improvement in my joints and my posture; this, coupled with improved balance and concentration, has made me much more flexible and confident in doing movements I would not have attempted before. Polly is an excellent teacher, always considerate and knowledgeable of her subject. The beauty of yoga is that you do it to your own level without being pushed into doing things you don’t feel comfortable with, unlike some other exercise classes. I shall certainly be continuing my classes – I look forward to it every week.
